Are you a writer, game master, or storyteller with a thousand ideas bouncing around in your head but no clear way to bring them together? Maybe you have a cool setting but the plot isn’t clicking. Maybe your characters exist but their motivations feel fuzzy. Maybe your worldbuilding is huge but the story itself feels tangled.

That’s where I come in.

My name is Matthew Donald. I'm an author, podcaster, and professional overthinker of fictional worlds. I’ve published six YA science-fiction novels (with a seventh on the way) known for their creativity and expansive worldbuilding, and I’m a member of the Author’s Guild of America. Over the years I’ve also hosted and appeared on podcasts discussing storytelling, writing craft, and speculative fiction. And honestly, my favorite part of storytelling has always been helping ideas evolve.

What I Offer

I provide one-on-one creative consulting sessions over Google Meets or Zoom where we workshop your ideas together. Before our session, you’ll fill out a short form explaining your project and what you’re struggling with. Then during the call we’ll dive into things like:

• Worldbuilding and setting design

• Plot structure and story direction

• Character motivations and arcs

• TTRPG campaign ideas

• Organizing large creative projects

• Untangling story problems

During the session I’ll take notes and send them to you afterward so you leave with clear ideas and actionable next steps.
